Notifications & recaps
How Atelier gets your attention when an agent needs you — and catches you up when you step away.
Inside the app
Status dots run through the whole UI — sidebar rows, tabs, split chips. Pulsing means working; a highlighted dot means the agent is waiting on you. The sidebar filter's Needs you view shows only those.
Anything actually blocked lands in the required actions banner pinned to the top of the sidebar: questions to answer, permissions to grant, and rate limits — the latter with a live Resets in M:SS countdown. Clicking an entry jumps to that agent's pane, where the prompt is docked above the composer.
System notifications & sounds
When Atelier is in the background, three kinds of events can raise a macOS notification, each with its own sound: agent finished, agent needs input, and rate limited. A master switch and per-type toggles live in Settings ▸ Notifications, sounds included.
Recaps
Come back after being away and any session that kept working greets you with a one-line recap at the top of the transcript — what got done, what is waiting. It triggers on return after roughly ten minutes away, once a session has enough turns to summarize, and can be switched off in Settings ▸ General. Want one on demand? Type /recap. Recaps are written by the utility model you pick in Settings ▸ Providers — the same one that names your sessions.
